Traditionally, lodgepole pine has been used by the pulp industry, but at G\u00e4ll\u00f6 Timber, we have specialized in extracting sawn timber from lodgepole pine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Usefull in Many Ways<\/h2>\n

Lodgepole pine, with its North American origins, was introduced in Sweden during the 1970s. With its ability to quickly reach harvest maturity, it provides an increased supply of timber raw material and enhances carbon dioxide uptake.<\/p>\n

For SCA and G\u00e4ll\u00f6 Timber, lodgepole pine represents a sustainable alternative in their range of products. Thanks to a higher proportion of sound knots with longer knot spacing, a lighter color compared to pine, and lower density, lodgepole pine is suitable for specialized applications within the wood industry, particularly in panel and glued-laminated board production.<\/p>\n

Heat treatment, a process where the wood is heated to around 200 degrees Celsius, also produces rot-resistant products without chemical additives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
